Romantic Restaurants, Looking for Houston’s most romantic restaurants for a recent TV segment was one of the more challenging assignments I’ve had. Afterall, there are lots of restaurants that fit the bill.
Some are romantic because of their charming setting, others because of their menu and great service or a combination of all of the above.
The four I ultimately chose for the segment were The Rainbow Lodge on Ella Boulevard, Bistro Provence on Memorial Drive, Au Petit Paris on Colquitt and Masraff’s on Post Oak Boulevard.
If I could have squeezed in a fifth choice, it would have been The Backstreet Café on Shepherd Drive. The quaint, charming restaurant is cozy inside and has a great patio where tiny white lights flicker from the tree branches above a lovely setting.
Plus, the food is fabulous! I enjoyed their popular Red Corn Chicken Enchiladas very much, but the standout of the meal for me was the salad – a grilled farro salad.
