Rolling Stones Announce Documentary, The Rolling Stones are to release a new documentary spanning their entire career as part of their 50th anniversary celebrations.

Produced by the Brown Sugar hitmakers, it will be directed by critically acclaimed documentary filmmaker Brett Morgen and will chart every phaseof the band’s history, which began in 1962.

The film will contain extensive interviews with Sir Mick Jagger and Keith Richards as well as unheard songs and rare footage of the band.

Morgen tells Rolling Stone magazine, “Nobody has put the story together as a narrative. We’ve been looking under every rock going through their archives.

“It will be music never heard before, and I’ve conducted 50-plushours of interviews so far. By the time we’re done, they will be the most extensive group interviews they’ve ever done.

“For anyone who wants to experience the band, this is the film that will defy convention and create a sonic tapestry to transport viewers into the world of the Rolling Stones.

“The film will deliver the original, bold,sxy and dangerous flavor of the iconic rock band”.

The documentary will feature brand new footage, and Richards can’t wait to see the final film, explaining, “He told me 80 per cent of the footage has never been seen before, which amazes me.
