Rolling Stones 14 On Fire Tour Dates, The Rolling Stones revived its “14 on Fire” tour Monday, after suspending it in March following the suicide of Mick Jagger’s fashion-designer girlfriend, L’Wren Scott, 49.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers reaped rave reviews for the band’s sold-out concert before an audience of 23,000 at Oslo’s Telenor Arena, reported the Scandinavian press. Jagger, 70, did not mention the tragedy during the 20-song performance, though Keith Richards, also 70, said simply, “It’s good to be back; on with the show.”
The tour continues to Lisbon and Zurich, with postponed Australia and New Zealand shows rescheduled to October and November.
Meanwhile, fellow music legend Paul McCartney has recovered from the undisclosed virus that hospitalized him in Tokyo last week, causing him to cancel shows in Japan and South Korea. McCartney, 71, “has recovered well enough to travel by plane,” said a representative for Kyodo Tokyo, organizer of the Japanese leg of the “Out There” world tour.
