Robin Gibb Liver Cancer

November 21, 2011 by staff

Robin Gibb Liver Cancer, Robin Gibb, a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame group The Bee Gees, is battling liver cancer. Gibb, 61 — who with his brother Barry, 65, and late twin Maurice formed the pop trio that released disco hits such as “Stayin’ Alive” — was diagnosed several months ago, the British press said Sunday.

UK newspapers reported he was taken by ambulance from his estate in Thame, Oxfordshire, to a hospital Tuesday and released five hours later after treatment for inflammation of the colon. Gibb had canceled a U.S. tour in April after experiencing abdominal pains.

His spokesman, Ken Graydon, told the Sunday Mirror that the family did not wish to comment. Another brother, solo performer Andy Gibb, died in 1988 at age 30 of heart failure.
