Robert Pattinson Says He’s Getting Too Old For ‘Twilight’

Robert Pattinson Says He’s Getting Too Old For ‘Twilight’, Edward Cullen doesn’t age. But Robert Pattinson does.  If the “Twilight” series continues with more books (which will, of course, be turned into movies), don’t expect R.Pattz to reprise his vampire role, as he claims he’ll be “too old” for the part by then, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The subject of possible additional “Twilight” installments came up on the red carpet for the Berlin Film Festival premiere of Pattinson’s new sex-and-scandal costume drama, “Bel Am*.” While Lionsgate is on board to adapt any new books that Stephenie Meyer may have up her sleeve, Robert isn’t necessarily interested in starring in them.

“I’d be curious what Stephenie would write, but I just think I’d probably be too old,” he said. “I’m already too old. But yeah, it’d be kind of interesting.”

Of course, saying he’s too old to continue playing Edward could be just a pretty good get-out-of-jail-card way of saying “Four movies was enough and I want to move on to other things.”

The possibility of more “Twilight” adventures first came up last week (at least on a semi-official basis) when Lionsgate co-chair and Summit co-founder Rob Friedman said that, despite the series having come to an end, he’s ready to make another “Twilight” film if Meyer is up for writing the book.

“If she (Meyer) wishes to do it, we’ll be there to support her,” he told The Hollywood Reporter regarding a new installment in the series. (We have a feeling the millions of “Twilight” fans feel the same way.)
