Rita Wilson & Huff/Post, The Huffington Post has launched a new site dedicated to baby boomers, Wilson andRita direct vision and content. AOL Huffington Post Media Group President and Editor in Chief Arianna Huffington said Thursday that the actress and producer is editor-at-large of “Huff / Post 40″, which is scheduled for release in August. She says Wilsoneven came up with the name of the new site.
Huffington said in an interview that the new site is designed to appeal to men and women aged 40 years and will be “on the news and people sharing their own experiences on that stage in life.”
Attributed to her and share the Greek heritage for which Wilson was created to assess aging as a process that takes wisdom and new possibilities.
The Wilson 54-year-old, who is married to Tom Hanks, has acted in movies, television and Broadway. He has also written stories about the style and the health of O, The Oprah Magazine and Harper’s Bazaar, where he has been associate editor since 2006.
Wilson turned a lifelong dream to perform on Broadway at age 49, said Huffington. That unity, sense of humor andWilson is what makes the “perfect godmother” to the new site.
“She always following their own passions and make things happen, so I think it’s a great role model,” said Huffington.
The founder of The Huffington Post said it was concerned about the limited experience in journalism Wilson, calling the new editor-at-large “a wonderful writer her and she has a clear sense of what the site’s theme will be”. She said they are now working to fill other top editorial positions for the new site.
“Huff / Post 40″ stands, interactive, Huffington said.
“It’s important to cover this with a sense of joy at this age … that’s another thing that is often lacking in the writing of this stage of life,” he said. “You worry about the approval of less; It is more clear about who you are – all those things are so liberating is a very liberating time of life, I say as I turn 60 …
“It’s a time when you can look less to the past and in the future.” Huffington is also looking to the future while continuing to expand her media empire to AOL. She is the development of France Huffington Post, Huffington Post UK launches July 6 and the Huffington Post of Canada was launched last month.
