Return Of The Jet I, The heckling New York Post is most famous for his his “headless body in tpless bar” as 1982. But the tabloid has outdone itself with coverage of today’s New York Jets playoff game against the Division 3 champion Patriots in New England Sunday. With a nod to the space opera Star Wars, the title screams: “Return of the JET-I.” The subtitle: “Episode 3: Gang Green felt the force is with them, however Foxboro.”
The art department Post outperforms their sucker titrators with images of Star Wars. There was Bill Belichick, the former Jets assistant gone wrong “Spygate” the brain, having a helmet of Darth Vader. Jets coach Rex Ryan is a brave, potbellied Han Solo, while his wife Michelle Ryan, who may or may not have played clips of foot ftish, is a lovely Princess Leia. Young Jets QB Mark Sanchez is a dressed in black, Luke Skywalker. The Patriots? QB Tom Brady addition, they assault troops faceless franchise is the Death Star under the attacks of brave fighters jets. The last straw: the former Jets QB Joe Namath, who guaranteed victory celebrated in Super Bowl III, Jedi Master Yoda is inspiring the Jets to victory. May the Force be with those who dreamed it up? Well done.
