Republic Day India, On the occasion of Republic Day of India, a flag raising ceremony will take place at the premises of the Embassy of India at 9:00 am Wednesday, January 26, 2011. Reading the message of HE President of India by the ambassador, singing patriotic songs by the children of residential schools, and an open house reception will follow this. All Indian nationals in Kuwait are cordially invited to attend the ceremony
The High Commission of India in collaboration with Ghana Silverbird Entertainment Limited will hold the second edition of the Festival of Indian films in Accra.

The festival begins on Friday, January 2011 28 with a large opening (by invitation only) to the Silverbird Cinemas, Accra Mall.

The second Indian film festival is celebrated as part of activities marking the 62nd Indian Republic Day, which falls on January 26, 2011.

The Festival will also create a unique platform and opportunity to present Indian culture. Lasting until February 3, 2011, the weeklong festival includes thirteen of the classics of Indian cinema, free for the Ghanaian public.

Among the films to be screened during the festival are the Box Office Hits 3 Idiots, Koi Mil Gaya, Seeta Aur Geeta, black and Mother India.
