Report Barefoot Bandit, The Barefoot Bandit, whose cross-country crime wave carried him out of the popular state law, allegedly signed a deal worth as much as 1.3 million film with 20th Century Fox But 20-year-old Colton Harris-Moore will not see a cent for the rights to his story of life:
Instead, they will pay the minimum and 1.4 million he owes restitution to the victims of their thefts costly. The 1.3 million and is unusually high, but Harris-Moore was on the radar of the police since the age of 10, and many details surrounding his childhood remain a secret, the lawyers of Harris-Moore said.
Rumors about who will play the villain and Zac Efron mentioned as a potential advantage, reports the Daily Herald. Harris-Moore pleaded guilty in June to seven counts of federal crimes. Sentencing is scheduled for October. However, he still faces 30 charges in state court, including the first-degree robbery.
“Getting the money for my victims is the least I can do, because my situation is probably the best I can do,” Harris-Moore wrote in a statement. “I will continue doing everything possible to improve things. My commitment to this effort is what keeps me going.”
