Regis Talking TV ComebackRegis Talking TV Comeback, Regis Philbin says he does not withdraw from the world of the show and expressed their interest in a possible prime-time show.

In an interview with Detroit’s Mojo in the program of morning radio, television veteran of 80 years old, said his departure from the daytime talk show “Live!” was the result of a contractual dispute and not a desire on your part to leave the world of entertainment.

“I’m not calling it quits, you understand,” said Philbin. “I’m moving on. I’m not retiring.”

Entertainment Weekly said Philbin does not mention any hot prospects, but expressed interest in working in a prime-time project.

He also commended the various personalities that have been mentioned as possible replacements “live”. However, he warned a daily program on the day has its rigors and much depends on the person.

“You do not know how hard it is to maintain a situation to go on a show like that which has no writers, no meetings,” said Philbin. “You just go out there and do it. I could do that because I’ve done it for 50 years, which is the way I like it.”
