Rebecca Nalepa, Rebecca Nalepa, 32, the girlfriend of Medicis Pharmaceutical Corp., a pharmaceutical company based in Scottsdale, Arizona, founder and CEO of Jonah Shacknai, was found dead at his home in California, one of many houses in a neighborhood rich, on Wednesday in what officials called “suspicious circumstances”.
Nalepa body was discovered Wednesday morning by Shacknai brother Adam, who is staying in a guesthouse on the property of Coronado, California, according to Capt. Tim Curran Department of San Diego County Sheriff. Ms. Nalepa Shaknai Adam and appear to have been the only people in the property at the time of the incident, officials said.
Shacknai CEO was not seen at home when Mrs. Coronado Nalepa was found in the morning or when Coronado police arrived, authorities said.
“We have not determined whether this is criminal or if it is a death investigation,” said Capt. Curran WSJ. “Whether it’s a homicide or suicide, is one of the most unusual and rare that I have seen.” An autopsy was being conducted Thursday, the San Diego County Medical Examiner will determine cause and manner of death, a process that could take several weeks, Wall Street Journal reports.
According to WSJ, the brother told police that Ms. Nalepa found with a rope around her neck and hanging from a balcony of the main house, Captain Curran, who added that Mrs. Adam Nalepa Shacknai reduce before police arrived on the scene. Captain Curran WSJ said that police found Ms. Nalepa n*ked, feet and hands tied behind her.
“This is a very strange death, no doubt, no doubt about it,” said Capt. Tim Curran MSNBC. “Until you absolutely can be set one way or another, are not willing to call this a criminal matter or a suicide,” he said.
BusinessWeek reports that the company’s shares fell 3.8 percent – and 1.52 – 38.53 pm and in trade, while the broadest measure of trade declined slightly.
