Read the full letter of resignation as follows:

Dear Sheryl and Elliot:

I decided my time on Facebook is coming to an end. When I think of the projects I’m most proud of during my six years with the company, they all have one thing in common: they revolve around the intersection of traditional media & social technology:

ABC News / Facebook presidential debate primary in 2008 (televised debate of the first network to include social media)
CNN / Facebook Opening partnership in 2009 (fueled an industry of billions of dollars around the live broadcast)
The ABC / Facebook Live Coverage Election Night in 2010 (he received an Emmy nomination)
The association Davos / Facebook that made the World Economic Forum to millions of people
The launch of Facebook Live, ending less than a year later, in a Town Hall with President Obama in 2011.
I’ve spent years pouring my heart and Facebook soul and drive innovation in the industry of media by introducing new concepts about life, seeing social, participatory, that the industry media has taken since. We have made incredible progress, but much remains to be done and other ways to influence change. Now is the perfect time for me to move out of Facebook to create a company focused on the interesting trends underway in the industry media. I am proud of what I have done here and the people I’ve had the opportunity to work with them. But I know I’ll be able to do as much or more to Facebook once I’m abroad. My goal is to launch my own innovative programming and working with media companies to develop programming in new and social forms. By attacking this challenge, Facebook will clearly be a central element in all my projects. I have the intention to show that anyone can do the work of innovative ways on the platform. And to the extent it makes sense to you, I would be happy to advise on media projects for Facebook, “Facebook Live” and other initiatives if desired. As we close this chapter of my career, I know I’m going with a deep love for Facebook and value the experiences I had here immensely. Be sure to remain a strong evangelist, member of the most incredible social platform ever created. I am grateful for the strong mentoring, guidance and support, which is empowering me to follow my dreams and show that you do not have to be an engineer to be a hacker J

Thanks for everything. If you need to contact me by email to my new company is the best, Randi@RtoZMedia.com.
