Rand Paul, Efforts to save historic Store Penn, a longtime benefactor of the literary arts, near Gravel Switch, continue, even in New York.

On 17 November, there will be reading a poem Penn’s Store Cabaloosa benefit in New Paltz, NY, as the Kentucky Literary Newsletter.

For over a decade, Professor HR Stoneback and dozens of New Paltz students have read and sung to day programs Kentucky Writer’s Store in Penn.

To participate:

N Send a poem to a page in some way dealing with the theme of “The Old Country Store” with a donation of 5 and – this will ensure that your poem will be read at the service.

N Or enter your poem to a page in the Country Store Poem Contest. The registration fee for the contest is $ 10. This will make your poem eligible for publication in a chapbook and awards in various categories (students and others).

November 1 is the deadline. Mail your poem with donations and 5 or $ 10 registration fee for the contest to: Professor HR Stoneback, English Department, SUNY-New Paltz, New Paltz, NY 12561.
