Raleigh Tornado

Raleigh Tornado, Emergency officials say a large tornado touched down about 4 miles south of Raleigh. Another tornado was confirmed move to Fort Bragg and Fayetteville. Storm damage reports are coming and people are urged to stay indoors as the dangerous storm through.

The National Weather Service also had reports of tornadoes in Lee, and the counties of Alamance person. Progress Energy reports of thousands of customers were without power as trees and high winds damaged power line. A tornado Raleigh today is now four kilometers from the city, Raleigh, North Carolina remains under a tornado warning after witnesses and eye tracking a large tornado was moving to Raleigh. Within the hour, the national news reports homes destroyed by the storm of Saturday moving through Sanford, North Carolina. An additional six homes have been destroyed in Bethel Springs, North Carolina.

By tracking the tornado that represents only four kilometers from the city, a county tornado warning was issued wide. The National Weather Service in Raleigh issued a press release moments ago that a tornado warning remains in effect until 4 pm tonight for Wake County. NWS says his “Doppler radar and emergency officials were monitoring a destructive and extremely dangerous tornado.”
