Rainey Qualley, In an annual ritual to warm the heart, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association plucks an attractive young woman of celebrity parentage from a cold world of privilege and referred fame and grants her a small moment to bask alone in the limelight, followed by the lifetime horror of once having borne a mildly suggestive title. Behold: this year’s Miss Golden Globe.

Rainey Qualley, daughter of actress Andie MacDowell, will help hand out the statuary at the annual Hollywood group hug, reports. Qualley is an aspiring musician and actress. Previous honorees include Rumer Willis, Laura Dern, Melanie Griffith and Joely Fisher.

The estranged father of actress Jodie Foster was found guilty this week on 21 counts of grand theft in a fraudulent real-estate investment scheme in Los Angeles. Prosecutor Don Cocek said Lucius Foster, 89, owes his victims almost $200,000, Fox News reports.
