Rachel Zoe Project

Rachel Zoe ProjectRachel Zoe Project, And then there were two (and a half). Let me quickly on stage. If you do not know who Rachel Zoe is the last designer to the stars - actually, she has made Nicole Richie, Jessica Alba, Demi Moore, Cameron Diaz and most other well-dressed celebrity fashion icons today.

The Rachel Zoe Project is to show the reality of Rachel, which began its fourth season last night. After the second season, her assistant Taylor left the company after a highly publicized betrayal by Taylor. After the third season, her assistant Brad left the company. (For fans of the series, I’m sure it was a big surprise last night to discover that was not what it seemed. A plague on your house, Brad Goreski!) The fourth season is where you pick up.

I was very worried about the show without Brad – but Rachel was the type of nut, fashion, crazy, workaholic boss, Brad was the comic relief, sanity and a hearing with the neurosis of Rachel. In a way, he became the show. Rachel considering having a baby during all of last season was always less interesting than anything Brad was doing or saying. And the two played each other so well.

But now it is only Rachel and her husband Rodger – and the title sequence that shows – Once upon a time, offered Taylor, Brad, Rachel and Rodger – until now only the last two. There is hardly a need for more title sequence. So what ended up taking out Brad? And a baby three years ago!

Well, not baby yet. Collect six months pregnant with Rachel, and the smallest of six months at once you’ve seen everything that Brad was added to the equation – particularly humor and perspective. Rachel does not know what that means slowing down – to see her physique have to do it and learn to love what is happening to add a little heart to once (well, still) are superficial. She softened and humbled and it’s fun to see her challenge of a new way. But of course, the smoothness does not last long – it’s Lovey Dovey with Rodger second – finally live in the moment – but who are fighting the next, and customers are still number one. Adding drama is a new assistant and new fashion line of Rachel, so that as the baby comes, which is the career make or break time.

Yes, you have to take what is and what it does for a career with a grain of salt – it’s a drama, fashion stylist obsessed with phrases like “important” and “bananas”, and she and Rodger struggle can be a bit grating. However, the to-be child is showing new aspects of Rachel and amplify the pressure on the success of their line. Look – if you can bear to see all Bravo Real Housewives and enjoy fashion, you should be watching the Rachel Zoe Project. She is smarter and more interesting than all those women, which is now a working mother, and the show is fast and fun, it really is a glimpse into what being a stylist – and now there’s a guy on the road. After the departure of two assistants who were instrumental in bringing the spectacle and drama of humor did not seem possible – but this yield curve has made the show better than before.
