Qatar Petroleum, Qatar Petroleum will be the main sponsor of the official opening ceremony of the third Doha International Maritime Defence Exhibition and Conference (Dimdex 2012) set to take place in March.
Dimdex, the pre-eminent maritime defence event in the Mena region, will be staged in the new Qatar National Convention Centre from March 26 to 28.
Held under the patronage of Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, deputy commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces, Dimdex 2012 is hosted by the Qatar Armed Forces and the Qatari Emiri Naval Forces.
Sultan Abdulla Ali Al-Abdulla, manager for public relations and communications, QP, said: “The international exhibition and conference would surely contribute in ensuring the continued security of our maritime assets, and our sponsorship of this event is in line with our commitment to support all initiatives related to national development.”
QP is Qatar’s state-owned petroleum corporation and the leading national organisation entrusted with the development of the country’s hydrocarbon resources. It is responsible for all phases of the oil and gas industry in Qatar.
Its principal activities include covering the exploration, drilling and production, transport, storage, marketing and sale of crude oil, as well as natural gas liquids, liquefied natural gas, refined products, petrochemicals and fertilizers.
Dimdex 2012 is the only specialised maritime naval defence and security exhibition in the Mena region. It brings together defence exhibitors from all over the world to showcase innovative maritime defence technologies. – TradeArabia News Service
