Puppy Bowl, (UKPA) – With most of the United States are going crazy for everything Super Bowl before the big game on Sunday, the television channel Animal Planet is preparing for its alternative for non-sports fans – Puppy Bowl. Annual cute channel-a-thon started seven years ago to encourage viewers bored to watch endless pre-game Super Bowl, and he is now so popular that on average nearly 1.1 million viewers last year.

The idea is simple – take a group of adorable puppies and film them running, sniffing and fighting with each other for two hours. It is the biggest match played on all fours. The Puppy Bowl is back to Animal Planet for its seventh consecutive year. Preview at 3 pm ET today and running continuously until 3 o’clock, the lineup includes 47 puppies of all breeds rescue across the country gathered on a field of 19-feet long for battle.

The game works like this. Of the 47 puppies, a group of 10 may be on the field at once. Some squeaky toys, stuffed animals, toys shaped footballs scattered around the grill. Any dog can get a toy and if they do so through either line touchdown … score!

Puppy Bowl VII will also be broadcast in 3-D for the first time 3Net, a new channel hosted by Discovery Channel, Sony and IMAX. The action comes directly into your living room live, and 3-D if you have one of these TVs fancy 3-D all the children are cold.

The queues can be found here and it would be a good idea to familiarize themselves with the competitors in advance. Take, for example, Pauly, the perfect Jersey Shore Fox Terrier. In his spare time he likes spinnin ‘the freshest cuts as a DJ. Or Sadie, an adorable Pit Bull 12-week-old who sleeps with a teddy bear.

This time, the Puppy Bowl went high tech, the introduction of a Puppy Cam, giving viewers a first hand look at all the action through the eyes of the players themselves. The water in the bowl Cam is, of course, returning this year, putting the fans in full
