Prince's Perfume DealPrince’s Perfume Deal, The prince must pay a perfume company and nearly 4 million not to market its aroma, a New York court determined.

Revelations Perfume and Cosmetics, Inc. licensed the artist name, likeness and 3121? “The album title of a new perfume in 2006 with the understanding that the prince could help promotes it.

In 2008 the company sued Prince and Universal Music, claiming its refusal to engage in interviews and appearances in the marketing of perfume 3121 had led to poor sales and a violation of the agreement.

“Since July 2007, despite repeated attempts by revelations there has been virtually no communication from anyone who could make or coordinate the promotional efforts of the Prince,” states the lawsuit.

Now an arbitrator granted the company and 3.95 million, pending confirmation by another judge on November 1.

Prince Field has not ruled on the damages recommended.
