Police Mom Tried To Sell Baby At Taco Bell, The woman accused of trying to sell their baby at a Taco Bell appeared before a judge in Clark County on Monday. She was arrested for trying to sell his three-day-old baby between 500 and 5000 and as a woman at a Taco Bell off of Highway 99 in Vancouver on Friday.
Heidi Lynn Gasaway, 35, also known by her maiden name, Heidi Lynn Knowles. His father, John Knowles, said in a telephone interview Monday that he had no idea that her daughter was considering selling his son. A close friend who became first appearance Gasaway Gasaway said he believed may have been suffering from symptoms of postpartum depression and that she had tried to find a homeless shelter. Both described a desperate woman who was away from homeless shelter. A very different picture of the woman described in court documents as intoxicated when police arrested her for allegedly trying to sell her baby to a woman at Taco Bell.
Gasaway entered the court with a braid, covering her face, but by the time they appeared before the judge had hair down.
The mother of 35-year-old was staying at the Motel Kay about three blocks from where he was arrested later. The motel manager, Patty Morris, Gasaway said the father had been paying to stay there two nights when the police arrived.
“When I entered his room was clean fed baby obviously because I was not crying was usually nap, just like it,” said Morris. “The epicenter was located always in the middle of the bed seemed to be doing a good job.”
Morris also says the mother of 35 years old; he said the baby was her sixth child. That child is now in protective custody.
Meanwhile, Clark County judge set bail of 50,000 y.
Gasaway faces up to five years in prison if convicted on charges of trying to sell her baby.
She will appear before a judge again at the end of the month and also faces pending charges for theft and drug possession outside the county of Benton.
