Pia Toscano Interscope RecordsPia Toscano Interscope Records, American Idol fans that cried when Pia Toscano was voted, with nine contestants remaining in the competition, can dry your eyes. Toscano is doing very well — and officially signed a record deal with Interscope Records.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the 22-year-old debut album due out later this year, and its first single, “This Time” July 12 will be reduced. The single is an acoustic song written by Esther Dean and Toscano is done while on tour with other finalists this summer.

Immediately after Toscano was sent home the idol, the rumors began in April before being rushed to the study of record execs who want to capitalize on their popularity. Now it looks as if the conversation was true.

Main Man Jimmy Iovine of Interscope, who was a mentor to children in the tenth season of Idol, obviously knows talent when he sees it. And though it may have gotten cheated Toscano idol in the title, we feel that is about to become a star on her own.
