Another of her initiatives, New Anointing Performance Troupe, toured Florida, Alabama and Mississippi with its first production, James Baldwin’s, “The Amen Corner,” during the summer of 1996. These two ministerial initiatives are now under the auspices of Remnant Ministries.

A 1993 graduate of Alabama State University, Dr. Coleman returned to her alma mater and worked from 1996-1999 as an Instructor of theatre and served as advisor to the Tribe of Judah Choir.

Currently, she serves as Director of Theatre and Associate Professor of Speech and Theatre at Albany State University in Albany, Ga., and as Advisor to The Anointed Gospel Choir of the university.

Coleman also serves as president of The National Association of Dramatic and Speech Arts, Inc. (NADSA), a 73-year-old theatre organization, the oldest in the United States. She is also a graduate of Florida State University where she completed doctoral studies in Theatre and Dramaturgy.

The public is invited to hear Coleman as she speaks and incorporates her special gift of singing. A fellowship hour with refreshments will conclude the observance.
