Peter Falk Alzheimer'sPeter Falk Alzheimer’s, Actor Peter Falk died Thursday in Beverly Hills at the age of 83. A veteran of stage, film and television, Falk had been suffering from Alzheimer’s disease since 2008. The following are the most memorable roles of the versatile actor, who was a CPA by trade and not start acting until graduate school.

Longhetti Falk played Nick, the husband of a woman in 1974 marked unstable film director John Cassavetes. By admitting his wife’s psychiatric treatment after a series of bizarre behavior, struggling to keep the family together. Falk picture of high complexity, intense character – that puts up with his wife, but not afraid to hit his – earned him critical acclaim.

Wings of Desire and Faraway, so close
The actor played in Wings of Desire Wim Wenders (1987) and its sequel, 1993, Faraway, So Close! This fantasy films Falk as an angel decides to immortalize the former in order to experience life as a human being. Recognition of the actors in the highlighted much in the two films, which also starred Bruno Ganz.

What happens to my people?
Falk plays the workaholic husband, his terminally ill wife, Muriel, in this 2005 film written and co-starring Paul Reiser. As life winds down Muriel, Falk’s character realizes the importance of family and hits the road with her estranged son. Although the film did not set the box office on fire, Falk’s performance stands out as one of the most enjoyable aspects of the project.
