PETA Intern Jennifer Thornburg Changes Name

PETA Intern Jennifer Thornburg Changes Name, You have to wonder about the folks that PETA gets hold of. In a shocking move, a PETA intern named Jennifer Thornburg legally changed her name to “” She says that she now goes by her nickname, “Cutout.”

The nineteen-year-old responds to questions about her extreme decision by explaining that she began opposing dissections in middle school after she became uncomfortable with a class dissection assignment. She went on to help create a policy at her high school giving students who don’t want to participate in dissections a chance to do a different kind of assignment.

Not surprisingly, she says she often has to repeat her name to new acquaintances and it took her two times to get the local DMV to process her new driver’s license.

When I was in middle school in the 90′s I got in-school suspension because I would not dissect a frog in class. I totally agree no one should be forced to dissect anything and should be give another assignment. I remember my friends couldn’t believe I’d choose to sit in suspension for a day over dissecting a poor innocent frog. Really if you ask me there is no reason for anything to be dissected in school unless your in collage to be a vet or a doctor!
