But the 2010 season started badly for Creamer, who reaggravated a thumb injury in the opening match of the LPGA Tour. She underwent surgery and missed several months of game, returning to action only a few weeks before the U.S. Women’s Open.
In his first tournament back in action after surgery, Creamer finished in the top 10. But then he put 42 in the next, and missed the cut the week before the Open.
Creamer had a good start in the first round at Oakmont, however, shooting 1-over 72, good for a tie for eighth after the first day.
