Patrick Kennedy, Every single life married Patrick Kennedy Amy Petitgout Friday at the Kennedy family resort in Hyannis Post, Mass. The 44-year-old former Democratic congressman from Rhode Island exchanged vows with his bride, a schoolteacher in a ceremony officiated by Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer. Patrick, the son of the late Senator Ted Kennedy, wears a navy blue jacket, white pants and blue striped tie.
“I’m the luckiest guy, she is the best I could have imagined and I have the luck to share this day with her,” Kennedy told reporters at his wedding day.
Although Kennedy’s father could be around the wedding, the groom says he felt his father’s presence at the meeting.
“I feel like kind of my father to organize from the top, and is doing a great job so far, and he is telling us to get out on his sailboat and enjoy the sea, as it always did,” Kennedy said Cape Cod Times.
According to the Times, Breyer had some trouble getting into the room because the police officers did not recognize him upon his arrival in a Volvo station wagon. They were quick to recognize their mistake, apologize, and pass through Breyer, report the Times. (Carla Brunie confirmed pregnancy)
Before the wedding took place, Patrick joined members of his family and his future in-laws for a sailing adventure on board of her father, Mya. Patrick and his brother Edward M. “Ted” Kennedy Jr. was seen walking along the waterfront in Hyannis Port Yacht Club.
“I’m taking the groom to give a small candle in the evening to look all relaxed and ready for the ceremony later,” said Ted Jr. told reporters in Eugenia Fortes Beach.
