Pat Benatar, Pat Benatar was born January 10, 1953, on Long Island, New York. Although Benatar is known for it’s hard, it’s strong, it boasts an impressive three-octave voice that would be perfect for opera. Fortunately for us, Benatar has decided to use her vocal talents of the rock n roll.
Although presented as a solo artist, Benatar has toured with the same group of musicians throughout his career of 30 years. She even married one of her band members, Neil “Spyder” Giraldo. Giraldo has written songs for Benatar, played on all his albums, and has served as a guitarist on his tours since the beginning of his career.
During his career, Benatar has twice been named Rolling Stone’s Favorite Female Artist. Billboard magazine ranks her as a female rock singer most successful of all time (based on overall record sales and the number of hit songs and their positions on the map).
Benatar won four consecutive Grammy Awards and has sold 22 million records. She was nineteen Top 40 singles, including “Hit Me With Your Best Shot,” “We Belong,” “Heartbreaker” and “Love is a battlefield.” When “Love is a battlefield” has started, he was revered as one of the music videos first to combine a parcel history, propelled by a choreographed spectacle.
After the launch of MTV, Benatar became one of the greatest artists have played, and one of the first women of rock. She was a rocker girl, with her short hair and tailored clothing; Benatar is the perfect combination of edgy and sxy. The label has played up her sex appeal, and although Benatar was reluctant to portray him so she went with her. She was one of the first artists to wear a leotard on stage, and often wore tight-fitting clothing to show her curves (these costumes actually been beneficial because they allowed to move freely Benatar and provocative on stage). While other singers have experienced the stress of life (as Janis Joplin and Grace Slick), Benatar has proved just as hard as its image.
Benatar kept her sxy stage persona separate from his reality. His alter ego played his dark side, and makes each performance a theatrical performance. FMQB Publisher Kal Rudman accurately described her as an actress in the song. While Benatar may initially objected to his image sex driven, it used to his advantage and has maintained a level head. Still one of the most renowned musicians women Benatar remains in full control of his music.
