Pandharpur TemplePandharpur Temple, Pandharpur Temple is situated in Solapur, Maharashtra and consumer tax for Hindus. Ashad Ekadashi is celebrated today and Pandharpur yatra is running. It is the place where Vitthal-Rukmini of (Hindu deity) primary (original) temple exists. Pandharpur is also known as Pandhari.
Lord Vitthal Vithoba or is supposed to be the incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Pandhari holds four “Yatras” each year. One of the Yatra is performed over this period, which is the month of Ashad. Today, July 21, 2010, is Ashad Ekadashi, which is celebrated each year in the month of Ashad (June-July).

The Yatra is usually Ashad in 21 days and is also known as Ashad Waara and Ashad Ekadashi Ekadashi is the day the 21 days Yatra ends.

This year, the Yatra began on July 3.

Ashad Ekadashi is considered the day when Lord Vishnu sleeps on the serpent Ananta “for four months and moves on the sea Ksheera Sagar.
