Panda Tea To Be World’s Most Expensive

Panda Tea To Be World’s Most Expensive, Soon, the world’s fancy-pants tea snobs will be sipping cups of tea made with panda poop.
For real. The tea is fertilized with what’s left over when panda bears’ not-so-thorough digestive systems are done processing their meals of bamboo. An Yashi, the Sichuan University lecturer who’s trying to market the tea, says it will be nutritious and costly.
“Just like green tea, bamboo contains an element that can prevent cancer, and enhance green tea’s anti-cancer effects, if it is used as fertilizer for the tea,” Yashi told an Australian news network.
The price tag: about $80,000 per kilogram — a little over two pounds. (There aren’t many pandas left, after all.)
Panda fertilizer? Not so bad, considering the world’s most expensive coffee is made with beans that are partially digested by Indonesian civet cats.
