Oprah Wins Honorary Oscar, Oprah Winfrey is making a return to American TV to help her network win back viewers. The legendary host ended her long-running talk show this year after 25 years on the small screen.

Oprah’s Next Chapter is set to start in January on the star’s OWN TV Network, and the new show is hoped to attract new viewers.

Winfrey said: “After 25 years I got myself out of the studio chairs. I moved into the next chapter and I am having more fun than ever – moving around the country and the world talking to people I’m really interested in getting to know and I think viewers will be too.”

The 57-year-old had initially intended to stay behind the camera in her role of chief executive of the Oprah Winfrey Network.

But the star reportedly had a re-think and decided to appear in front of the camera in some of the network’s new shows.

The first edition of Oprah’s Next Chapter will feature Aerosmith and American Idol judge Steve Tyler, with Sean Penn and Star Wars director George Lucas featuring in future episodes.
