According to the Chicago Sun Times columnist Bill Zwecker, Motion Picture Academy sources said that the queen of TV has topped the list of candidates for the 2012 event.

Zwecker reported that senior leaders of the Academy is the host Oprah could help attract new viewers who have lost their daily dose of media mogul has now left the radio every day in syndication.
