Olivia O’Neil, Fifteen years old, Olivia O’Neil recently won the title of Miss Teen Wanganui, but his reign was short lived. According to The New Zealand Herald, Facebook photos emerged of her newly dyed brown hair (she was blonde when she was crowned), and event organizer Barbara Osborne was outraged. Is that a wig? “Osborne wrote.” I hope it does not give me heart failure. ”
Olivia admitted that he had, in fact, dyed dark blond hair, and said that if he was not allowed to color the hair, then maybe life was not fair to her. “Well, to make better, miss.” Surrender your crown with an attitude. I’m sure someone will step in place with manners, “Osborne said, adding that O’Neil” does not go very far in this world. ”
Olivia gave up his crown and went straight to the Herald. “I do not think you can tell a 15-year-old will not go very far in life,” he said. “It’s hurtful. She was always very hard with the girls. And when he says things like ‘show yourself better,” “a lot of wear makeup,” “do 20 sit-ups,” it gets to you after a while. ”
Parade spokesman confirmed to the Herald GOULT Jevan that his crown was stripped from the hair dye. “The expectation of holding the crown [was] to keep the image she had when she won,” said Goult. But is that an expectation or standard clear? O’Neil insisted that claims of abuse behind the scenes are exaggerated. “In a beauty contest, it is not sugar coating and the lip service to the girls. They should be treated the same way as in any beauty contest in the world.”
We ourselves Jevan GOULT for comment on the standing of O’Neil. He replied: “I would like to make clear that Olivia had never removed her crown, she returned it. The organization never took it.” Goult continued: “It was never about changing the color of your hair. It was the attitude and communication breakdown.” He said the event has Olivia and her father offered the opportunity for a live TV debate to discuss the matter. “We would like to see them accept this offer if they are completely sure that everything they have said.”
