Obama Tar Baby
August 3, 2011 by USA Post
Doug Lamborn (R-Co.) made some very offensive comments about the president, while on the radio last week:
“Even if some people say, ‘Well, the Republicans should have done this or should have done that,” will be held the president responsible. Now I do not even want to have to be associated with him. It’s like touching a tar baby and gets it, you get stuck, and you are part of the current problem and cannot escape. ”
Indeed, it is surprising to hear that term used so freely.
However, in his letter of apology was “apologizing for using a term that some find insensitive.”
Some? Most try. It was also simply
“Trying to tell a radio audience last week that the president’s policies have created an economic quagmire for the nation and are responsible for depressing economic conditions facing our country. He complains that he chose” tar baby ” the phrase instead of the word “quagmire.” The deputy president is confident that he will accept his sincere apology. ”
“I fully intend no offense, and if this is all on his radar screen, I am sure you will not be offended and be willing to accept my apology because he is a man of character.”
We’re not quite sure how you can go from “not wanting to be associated with him” what he called a “man of character.” Unless you really did mean he did not want to be associated with him and just want to be associated with men and women who have the character of place.
Oh, and is less about the apology and that should not have people in power who make such statements in the first place.
