Nursing Board Exam 2011Nursing Board Exam 2011, Dade Medical College is accepting applications from all classes of 2011 graduates from Miami-Dade County Public Schools to award 50 scholarships in total Nursing Associate program. The 50 scholarships will be awarded to deserving candidates based on their academic achievement; community service and supporting letters of recommendation, all must have graduated with a minimum 2.5 GPA.

“The nursing profession is a noble calling, which requires extreme dedication, a passion to serve the sick and the resources to study,” said Ernesto Perez, Dade Medical College President and CEO. “We are pleased to offer this opportunity to 50 graduates they deserve.”

The annual program established in coordination with the Miami-Dade County Public School Board Member Raquel Regalado. Total combined value of the grant is three million dollars and each cover tuition, uniforms and books. The university and local media partners WSVN Channel 7 and 96 WPOW energy are working together to deliver this initiative in our community.

All applicants will be required to write and send a 500-word essay about why they feel they deserve the opportunity to receive the scholarship. A panel of judges will determine the winners and all scholarship recipients must pass the nursing entrance exam.
