Notre Dame Football, It is the opening Saturday of the college football season and 19 teams that qualify will take the field for the first time. We will follow the action this afternoon; including Jimbo Fisher made his debut in the state of Florida and Brian Kelly’s first game at Notre Dame.

16:55: After the Irish led 10-0; Purdue and Notre Dame have exchanged field goals late in the second quarter. It was a strong demonstration of Brian Kelly so far in their debut in South Bend.

16:48: Jeremiah Masoli could lose your job? Nathan Stanley has thrown three touchdowns in the first half of Ole Miss that the rebels are Jacksonville State 24-10. Masoli has seen limited action after being cleared to play on Friday.

16:43: Connecticut has its first points against Michigan in a field goal from Dave Teggert. However, the Wolverines 21-3 lead behind an offense led by sophomore quarterback Denard Robinson, who has been running for 100 yards. Perhaps the crime of Michigan is expected with the hiring of Rich Rodriguez has arrived.

16:37: Texas has responded with 17 unanswered points after Rice led 3-0 in the first 15 minutes in Houston. The second touchdown of the game came on a fumble recovery by Keenan Robinson after a sack by Sam Acho.

4:30 pm: Notre Dame has increased its lead to 10-0 at Purdue, with a short field goal after a promising drive stalled deep in Boilermakers territory. Most of the damage caused by the Irish ahead in the running game.
