Nnamdi Asomugha, The NFL free agent market may be about to get a very valuable addition: CB Nnamdi Asomugha.The longtime Oakland Raiders standout is becoming a free agent, NFL.com reported, because the incentives it did not affect this season that would have enacted a new year of his contract with Oakland.
The team confirmed at the end of the deal Asomugha Contra Costa Times. Asomugha, 29, has signed a deal valued property market in three years and 45.3 million in February 2009. But he will not have the chance to play the final season of this case.
He played in 14 games this season while winning his third straight berth Pro Bowl. Considered one of the best cornerbacks in the league, Asomugha had no interceptions this season, and only one in each of the three previous seasons.
But the opposing team throws often Asomugha; limiting the opportunities he gets near the ball. His contract was a key factor in the protracted conflict between the New York Jets Darrelle Revis and training camp, with Revis said he wanted to be the best cornerback in the league paid.
