Nikon D4 Price
January 6, 2012 by staff
Nikon D4 Price, The Nikon D4 will be available in late February 2012 for the suggested retail price of $5,999.95. Who says all the good stuff has to be announced at CES? It’s just a few days before the show, and Nikon has taken the wraps off its newest flagship DSLR – the Nikon D4.
The 16-megapixel camera has been optimized for “speed and precision,” with a number of new features to make the camera both faster and to improve its overall image quality over its predecessor.
The D4 has an ISO range from 100 to 204,800, allowing it to capture crisp photos in exceptionally low-light situations, a faster shutter speed that allows it to capture photos at 10 frames-per-second, and the ability to shoot 1080p high definition video.
Video recorded using the camera can be captured at different frame rates depending on your own personal needs, and users can record H.264 / MPEG-4 AVC format video for up to 20 minutes per clip. Video can also be recorded with audio, and the D4 offers a headphone jack for monitoring that audio as it is being recorded, with the ability to adjust the audio levels by up to 30 steps.
The specs for the D4 put it on a roughly even playing field with Canon’s flagship EOS-1D X. That camera has an 18.1-megapixel sensor, can capture pictures at 12-frames-per-second, and has an ISO range from 100 to 51,200.
The Nikon D4 will be on display this coming week at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The camera is then expected to be available in stores in late February 2012 for the suggested retail price of US $5,999.95.
