Nicks & Betty FordNicks & Betty Ford, Stevie Nicks has talked about the role of Betty Ford played in her life after the death of former First Lady at the age of 93 years last Friday. Fleetwood Mac singer entered the Betty Ford Center for treatment in 1985 for addiction to cocaine and told CNN of her time in the center:

“In those days, actually come to talk to Betty Ford for two or three times a month, so I had to hear her whole story only in the pressure of being in politics, being married to a famous politician and become addicted to whatever he was addicted. ”

Nicks added: “That really made me really need to fix myself even harder, because when you see someone who has, and you are not nearly as famous as her, no matter what, you change what me. Regards, Betty Ford saved my life. ”

Nicks returned to the years after your treatment center to talk about their experiences. She is one of several high profile celebrities to speak their gratitude to ford through its center.
