Nick Cannon Autoimmune

Nick Cannon Autoimmune, Nick Cannon’s staying strong through his health issues, which he’s told People magazine are the result of a “lupus-like” autoimmune disease.

Cannon has been hospitalized twice this year, once for kidney issues and a second time when doctors found blood clots in his lungs. His physicians have warned him to slow down, and Cannon announced he was stepping down from his morning radio show to put his health first in February.

“The blood clot thing was probably the scariest because…I know people who have passed away from that,” Cannon, 31, said. “I thought I was getting better, and then that happened, so that kind of came out of nowhere.”

Doctors have told the multi-tasking media personality that the blood clots were connected to his kidney problems, which are the result of “an autoimmune disease” that was found in his system.

“They kind of say [my] autoimmune [disease] is – like a lupus type thing, but no one in my family has it,” Cannon added. “I’m just trying to put my health first…I feel blessed to be alive. If it wasn’t discovered, I don’t know [what would have happened].”
