NFL Power Rankings
September 5, 2011 by staff
A number of quality games for the first week of the season, but take first place for several different reasons. The Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens are both Super Bowl contenders and play hard, hard-nosed football and best of all their division rivals.
These teams played three games against each other in the 2010-11 season and each game was decided by a touchdown or less. Find another competition tough, physical, and the winner takes the lead in the AFC North.
Another great fight, but is the second week, the New Orleans Saints on the road to face the Packers in Green Bay. This game features the winner of the last two Super Bowls, and will be the opening game of the NFL season.
Both teams have a quarterback and All-Pro high-powered offenses, but the Packers have the advantage in defense and home field advantage in this contest.
The soap opera that is the NFL is ready to begin a new season, and a number of great stories that come next season, and what better way to start the season than with two excellent games like these. Like every season, teams will surprise both good and bad reasons, and from next week’s NFL fans and the teams begin the journey of the 2011-12 season in the NFL.
