Last year I heard a brief NFAAS hurricane season (which had an unfortunate twist of course). I had heard briefly about it here and there, before last year but did not talk much about how important it really was, or the spouse or family can log on and use as well.
What is NFAAS? It is the Navy Family Accountability and Assessment System, https: / / www.navyfamily.navy.mil. What it does is track the Navy on active duty and reservists, NAF and employees of national execution, Navy civilians and family members of all those mentioned above, in case of disaster or emergencies, is a way to bring in an evacuation or similar has happened and is separated from your spouse or commands. family members can meet if separated from the wife of the Navy in the event that your spouse is deployed or has to stay back (or for whatever reason), which not only allows the spouse Navy to locate member family and in contact with them in the communication where it is found lost, but also allows the Navy to locate and help everyone if necessary. NFAAS also is used to report their status after an emergency or disaster, allowing you a way to communicate your needs if you have had damage to your home, are in need of medical care, etc.
Navy Family Accountability and Assessment System (NFAAS) standardizes a method for the Navy to account, manage and monitor the recovery process for staff and families affected and / or distributed by a widespread catastrophic event. The NFAAS provides valuable information for all levels of the Navy chain of command, allowing commanders to make strategic decisions to facilitate the return to stability.
NFAAS Navy personnel can do the following:
* Report on the State Accounting
* Update Contact / Location information
* See Reference Information
Before the system actually needs can access and update its current information and everything you can review the system. If you have not checked yet, I encourage you to do because you never know what might happen tomorrow.
I’m not sure if any of the other branches have something similar, I think so. If you have any information to share in NFAAS or similar programs to the military, others please share!
