Newborn Toilet Good Condition China News, A Chinese newborn who became stuck in a toilet pit after her mother gave birth unexpectedly is now in a good condition, her family said. The baby girl became wedged in the plumbing system in Beijing on Saturday afternoon when her mother went into labour nine days ahead of her due date, China Daily reports.
Cai Qulin, 36, said she needed to go to the bathroom before she went to hospital, and gave birth as she was squatting over the public toilet.
Emergency workers scrambled to save the trapped little girl, who they could hear crying inside the pit. After a half hour spent excavating several toilet pits, rescuer Li Gang was able to lift the newborn to safety. “She seemed a little pale and stiff,” he was quoted as saying.
