NES Classic Edition, You did not think Nintendo would be happy with just the revival of Pokemon, did you?

After a week where he revived interest in one of its classic games with franchises Pokemon Go, the video game company announced Thursday that it is releasing a new compact version of the classic Nintendo Entertainment System.

The new device, called Classic NES Edition is a shrunken replica of the console that launched in North America in 1985, over its lifetime has sold over 61 million units worldwide. It will be pre-loaded with 30 games and a controller.

You will not have to dig an old tube TV either because it will be able to connect to modern displays with a HDMI cable. In another modern twist, every game will “suspend several points,” allowing players to take a break and go back to where they left off without entering passwords.

Classic NES Edition will be available in November for $ 79.99 in Canada. Additional controllers will be available for $ 12.99. (Nintendo)

Classic NES Edition will be available in stores on November 11 and 79.99. Players can buy a second controller and 12.99.

“We wanted to give fans of all ages the opportunity to see the original Nintendo system and rediscover why they fell in love with Nintendo in the first place,” Pierre-Paul Trepanier, Nintendo of Canada CEO and Managing Director, said in a statement.
