NBA Fines Player For Lewd Photo On Twitter, The NBA fined Knicks shooting guard J.R. Smith $25,000 on Saturday for posting a semi-n*de photo of a woman on his Twitter account.

On Friday, Smith said he regretted the decision.  “I didn’t know it was going to be as big deal as it is now,” Smith said after the Knicks’ loss at Milwaukee on Friday. “I definitely regret it. It takes away from our team. Anytime I do anything that takes away from our team, I’m definitely going to regret it.”

Smith appears to have eventually deleted the post but that didn’t stop the photo from being passed around the Internet on Friday.

The woman, Tahiry Jose, is a video and men’s magazine model and dated rapper Joe Budden for several years. Smith and Jose were together on Thursday night, and Budden saw the photo, writing “Even the high road ends ”

Smith later posted a message directed to Jose, saying, “Things are being taken (too) far sorry (at)therealtahiry.”

“A few people talked to me about it,” Smith said on Friday. “It’s not the smartest move. I understand that now. I just have to be smarter in my decisions.”
