National Dance Day July 30
July 30, 2011 by Post Team
National Dance Day July 30, Celebrate the second annual National Day of Dance today, July 30. National Dance Day was started last year after an idea to get the country moving by the executive producer of the popular dance show on Fox, So you think you can dance.
According to the blog of the series, Six Flags theme parks across the country will host the celebrations. They also provide a simple dance routine for all to get rolling and dancing alone.
If you are interested in participating in the dance more seriously, there are plenty of dance studies in law and Matawan Aberdeen to take classes:
A Touch of Dance: 68 Routes 79, Matawan 732-566-8330
Nancy Royce Studio of Dance 1061 State Route 34 Ste B, Aberdeen 732-566-3300
Old Bridge School of Dance 419 State Route 34, Matawan 732-566-6774
Arts In Motion 25 Morristown Rd, Matawan 732-970-3968
Need inspiration? Check out this kid doing the samba in Brazil – which will have to do more than once to believe it’s real.
Some people prefer to dance for a cause. Just check out this flash mob dancing to Katy Perry fireworks at Monmouth Park to raise awareness for a nonprofit organization that supports women with cancer.
But if dancing is not your forte, get into the spirit to see this video of these adorable puppies making meringue a beginner (or this dog swinging her hips in a more advanced version of the dance.)
