Mummified Body Of ‘Robber’ Found In Bank’s Air Vent After Workers Complain Of Bad Smell, A mummified body has been found stuck inside an air vent in a bank in Lyon, France. Emergency workers are now working to identify the body and work out who he might be. So far, it’s not clear how long the body might have been in place.
Workers at the bank have reportedly been complaining about a bad smell in the building for some time. Eventually, maintenance workers made the gruesome discovery. It’s not clear whether the man was a worker, a failed bank robber, a vagrant or someone else entirely.
Removing the body from the vent has taken quite some time. It’s lodged in a section that’s just 50cm across, suggesting that the person was attempting to squeeze through and became stuck. Rescue workers are hoping to remove the body in one piece so that they have a better chance of identifying the remains.
