Mollen Immunization Clinics

August 15, 2010 by USA Post

Mollen Immunization Clinics, Flu season is still months away, but it seems that Americans are already preparing for something big. Website Mollen Immunization Clinics, one ot the country’s largest operators of nursing flu vaccine has been groaning under the weight of a sudden jump in traffic that began in the middle of the day.

The site offers visitors information on the flu vaccine and why it is important to be vaccinated, information about other diseases, travel information, and a clinic locator that lets users know when and where Mollen Immunization Clinics work on your area.3n

But anyone trying to use the clinic locator in the last hours probably received an error message or a page full of code that describes a “runtime error” in a server application.

Why the sudden rush of activity? Maybe it has something to do with the development of a new vaccine – the home page proclaims Mollen Immunization Clinics “a flu vaccine that protects against many viruses this flu season, including H1N1, H3N2 strain of the new Brisbane and B /. ”

H3N2 virus may be behind the sudden interest in flu vaccines Mollen Immunization Clinics

In that phrase can be a possible clue increasing interest. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention issued an alert earlier this month of alert health professionals to be on the lookout after small outbreaks of influenza A/H3N2 occurred in Iowa, with isolated cases in other 11 states.

According to a Department of Civil Service of Iowa Health Update relayed to the CDC, the H3 cases have been reported recently in Minnesota, Arkansas, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Hawaii.

The strain appears to be related to the H3N2 A / Perth strain first identified in early 2009.

The CDC notes that flu seasons, with a predominance of H3N2 viruses are generally more severe than those in which H1N1 influenza virus type B or dominate. The emergence of the A / H3N2 strain Perth last year was shifted worldwide H1N1 “swine” and “bird” flu pandemic, which successfully limited their impact in humans by the rapid development and deployment of an effective vaccine. H1N1 public statement of the CDC health emergency expired on 23 June and the World Health Organization declared the global pandemic officially this week.

Meanwhile, in the southern hemisphere, where it is currently winter, H3N2 and H1N1 viruses are appearing in roughly equal numbers, which raises the possibility that the next flu season can be a dominant H3N2.

If that is the case, then perhaps the sudden rush in Mollen Immunization Clinics represents Americans paying attention to the lessons of the pandemic of H1N1 last year and get an early start to defend themselves against a potentially more virulent strain of this year.
