MoDOT Road Conditions

January 20, 2011 by USA Post

Modot Road Conditions, MoDOT wants to alert motorists that roads in north central Missouri are covered with snow. MoDOT crews were well prepared and was in force around the clock snow plowing and treating hills, curves and intersections since the storm began. However, the snow always falls and heavy accumulations of freezing temperatures and blowing snow are difficult road crews.

Motorists are reminded to reduce speed and drive to road conditions. Blowing snow can also reduce visibility on roads.

Crews focus on the busiest roads first major until they are clear enough, and plowing and treating roads are less busy to travel safely.

These winter conditions will present the slow progress in clearing roads, and it may take a few days before all the roads, especially roads of lower volumes less traveled, are clear.

Motorists should check road conditions using travel card tips and other resources. This information can be obtained by connecting to / North Central, and follow the links in the center of the page.
