Modern Family Kids $70,000 Per Episode, “Modern Family” child star Rico Rodríguez and his fellow cast mates got a boost to their salary after a month-long negotiation, is reporting.

Rodríguez, who plays Manny, finalized a new contract with 20th Century Fox TV — the studio that makes the show for ABC — granting him a fatter paycheck.

Rodriguez, 14, plays the son of Sofia Vergara’s character, Gloria Delgado-Prachett, on the hit show.

Rodríguez, along with fellow cast mates, Nolan Gould, 13, who plays Dunphys’ son Luke, Ariel Winter,14, who plays Alex and Sarah Hyland, 21, who plays the older sister Haley, will be making an estimated $70,000 per episode, tripling what they currently make.

The agents of Aubrey Anderson-Emmons, who recently joined the “Modern Family” cast as the adopted daughter of Cameron and Mitchell — replacing the twins who played a younger version of the daughter — also tried to renegotiate her contract to boost her income, but no deal was struck since Anderson-Emmons has only been on board for one season. says that the negotiations with the child actors were executed much faster than those of their fellow adult actors, which took several months resulting in the actors boycotting the first table read of the upcoming season and legal action against 20th Century Fox TV.

Last month Vergara and cast members Ty Burrell, Julie Bowen, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Eric Stonestreet, and Ed O’Neill ended the feud with 20th Century FOX Television after both sides agreed on a salary increase from $65,000 an episode to $170,000. Ed O’Neill, who was earning $100,000 an episode due to his previous fame and experience, also got a salary increase.

Vergara and her cast members filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court stating that the actors’ contracts were violated according to California’s “Seven Year Rule,” which does not allow for personal service deals to last longer than seven years.
