Mitt Romney Robo-Calls

Mitt Romney Robo-Calls, Former Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney is selling voters in Utah and Arizona on Sen. Ted Cruz via robocalls, ahead of Tuesday’s primaries.
“I’m calling to ask you to join me in supporting Ted Cruz for president this Tuesday,” Romney says. “This is the time for Republicans across the spectrum to unite behind Ted.”
Romney denounced GOP front-runner Donald Trump in early March, calling him a phony conservative with unrealistic foreign policy plans, and asked the GOP to rally behind anyone but Trump. With Sen. Marco Rubio out of the race and Ohio Gov. John Kasich trailing in the delegates count, Romney announced Friday he would vote for Cruz.
“He is the only Republican candidate who can defeat Donald Trump, and at this point a vote for John Kasich is a vote for Donald Trump,” Romney says. “Ted Cruz has spent his life defending the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, and he’ll fight to bring back jobs to America and raise wages for everyone. Ted will be a strong commander in chief who will keep America safe.”
According to recent polls Cruz has a strong lead in Utah, while Trump is ahead in Arizona. Trump leads the delegate count with 678, followed by Cruz with 423 and Kasich with 143. On Tuesday, 58 delegates will be up for grabs in Arizona and 40 delegates in Utah. A candidate needs 1,237 delegates to secure the GOP nomination.
